EYES IN THE DARK
Ever feel like someone is watching you? Or see the glint of light off an animal who otherwise is invisible in the dark night? It's always just a bit creepy! Some animals, such as cats, have eyes that can adapt to both night and day levels of illumination. Cats have a highly developed reflective area in the back of their eyes called the 'tapetum lucidum.' A number of animals, such as deer and raccoons also have this tapetum lucidum. That is what makes their eyes 'glow' at night when our car headlights shine in their faces.
We created a collection of glow in the dark eyes for your Halloween needs. These are only good for black backgrounds. Created in PSP7.

BATS
The bat is sacred in Tonga and West Africa and is often considered the physical manifestation of a separable soul. Bats are closely associated with vampires, who are said to be able to shapeshift into bats, fog or wolves. Bats are also a symbol of ghosts, death and disease. Among some Native Americans, such as the Creek, Cherokee and Apache, the bat is a trickster spirit. In Western Culture, the bat is often a symbol of the night and its foreboding nature. The bat is a primary animal associated with fictional characters of the night such as both villains like Dracula and heroes like Batman.
These bats are silhouettes and on transparent backgrounds, so will work on any color you choose.
The file contains 5 bats, in various flight poses.

GHOSTS
According to some beliefs, a ghost may be the personality of a person after his or her death, and not directly tied to the soul or spirit. Many cultures throughout the world carry stories about ghosts, though they often disagree as to what ghosts are and whether they are just figments of imagination or a part of reality. There is much debate on whether ghosts are spirits of deceased people or a naturally occuring phenomenon. Some people believe that ghostly images and sounds occur as a result of the natural environment "playing back" past events in a manner similar to that of a tape recorder.
Real or imagined, our two little ghosties will happily haunt your Halloween pages!
