So, what do you wanna know? It's been ages since we revamped and updated Barefoot Artists with new graphics. Life happens and we were busy with other endevors, when we discovered we were getting a boat load of traffic over here and decided we had best pay attention and give the people some new stuff. And here we are with lots of new goodies, with more to come soon. No one has been asking questions, but we figure they might start, so we thought we better head you off at the pass with some basic information. That way we don't have to stop all this creativity to answer those run of the mill, FAQ type, emails. ;)
HOW DO YOU DELIVER PURCHASED PRODUCTS?
Either through a zip file via email, or for multiple purchases, snail mail on CD.
WHY DON'T YOU HAVE INSTANT DELIVERY AFTER PAYPAL PAYMENTS?
For several reasons, one of which is having a personalized business transaction with our customers allows us to provide quality customer service (something we think is still valuable) plus communication provides us wtih additional opportunities to share useful information about the products our customers have purchased. This reduces the need for future "support" type emails, which generally come with frustration and missing hair on the part of the sender. It's so much nicer when we can avoid those confusing moments by simple upfront communication.
WHAT'S YOUR POSITION ON COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT?
Don't do it, duh! Are we going to chase you all over hell and gone if you do? No. Are we going to get our "attorneys" to chase you all over hell and gone if you do? No. Are we going to whine about it? Probably. Are we going to curse you so that your body parts fall off? If we already have the caldron out and a copyright infringement is handy to throw in the mix, you betcha! Everyone knows that people of low intelligence and zero creativity steal stuff. We don't choose to loose sleep over it. We will do our ever lovin' best to make it hard on the dip sticks, so if one with a brain comes along and manages to figure out how to rip us off, well we will just have to pitty the fool for not recognizing that in the time it took to steal that graphic, they could have been doing something to increase their own abilities to make one for themselves. Don't sweat the small stuff, there's pleanty of big stuff to worry about. Do we want you to report stolen graphics to us? Well, if it's a huge theft, go ahead, we'll drag the cauldron out for a special cursing. If it's a little theft, don't bother, the cauldron's heavy!
WHAT ABOUT IDEAS?
Give us a break! All artitsts get ideas from other artists. That's just the way it REALLY is, and anyone who says otherwise is lying. The point is, if you are going to be an artist, then you are going to be really board copying the ideas of others pretty darn quick. You are going to copy what you see in order to learn your tools, then you develop your own style, your own ideas and and wa-la, off you go! We are not laying awake at night worried about someone stealing our ideas, we have more where those came from! If you are a newbie, take all the inspiration you want from this site, it's free.
WHERE DO YOU GET YOUR IDEAS?
Other artists of course! Just kidding. Inspiration is divine and out there for everyone, just by living life. Work with the things you love and inspiration comes fairly easy. That's not to say that we don't try and respond to what other people like or want, we just know that if it's not something that we love, the likelyhood that it will get our full attention or effort is not good. So we try to give people the kinds of things they want, while mixing it up with the things that we love. We all work harder on things that spark our passions.
